Freedom and Pioneers go together right? Maybe I'm trying too hard to make myself feel better about how far behind I am! Anyhow, here are some pictures from the 4th of July. We didn't do much, which is right down our alley. Saturday morning Bry flew in from his annual fishing trip to Alaska and we went straight home and took a family nap because everyone was tired! Then we just chilled at the house all day, no stress, nowhere we had to be...that's a good day! Cade doesn't do well around loud noises so we decided to skip the fireworks, and make some of our own...eh? I'll leave it at that. Sunday we went to Grandma Sargents house to celebrate her birthday and america's birthday while we were at it! Thanks to Uncle Brian and his rockin photography skills we were able to get these photos. Then we headed over to my parents house and had another yummy BBQ (I love summertime). My dad doesn't enjoy the festivities that come with the 4th of July (never has) but my mom does so she bought this HUGE box of firecrackers for all the grandkids. It was fun and the kids had a blast! Cade stayed nice and close to dad because he wasn't to sure about all the noise. Its so nice to have both of our families around so we can celebrate and have fun with them! I do want to say this year I don't know why but I did think about how grateful and blessed I am to live in this country. I had to play the organ in church sunday the 4th and I felt a bit of pressure to make some people proud. I don't know who they were, maybe the veterans in our ward, maybe our Bishop because he gets so emotional about patriotism and that touches me, maybe some who have passed, but I tried to produce the right kind of spirit and I felt good about it. I really thought about what it took to make my freedoms available and I am so grateful for those who have gone before and allowed me to enjoy MANY things! God Bless America!

A little behind....
That's it! This week is the week I'm catching up on my blog! Whenever Cade goes down for a nap I am going to post a ....post! I'm sick of looking at everyone else's blogs and being jealous that all of yours are SO much cuter and up to date than mine! I need to get with it! So here goes...these are Cades 9 months photos. My little sister Jen took them and she is getting so good at photography I'm so jealous. Cade is such a good baby! We are so blessed to have him as part of our family. It's cute because Bryan will tell Cade that sometimes, we really are grateful! I want to list 9 things we LOVE about Cade!
9- He sleeps through the night! and has since about 2 months old! way to go bud!
8- He is such a happy baby!
7- He can entertain himself for a long time with the funniest things! He loves Bryans horse magazines, washclothes, grass....there's more but I can't think of them right now
6- He loves to figure things out! He was stuck between two bar stools the other day and got frustrated, but figured out how to get out of it. Loves to open and close anything that opens and closes. It's so cute to watch him concentrate and figure everything out.
5- He crosses he little legs whenever he's content! In the carseat, in his high chair, drinking his bottle, eating, relaxing with dad. It's the cutest thing!
4- His little facial expressions! and boy does he have some good ones!
3- He is a good combination of his mom and dad! It's funny to watch him do certain things and laugh about who he gets it from! He's got his dad's patience for example! :)
2- He is obsessed with horses! you can just say the word horse and he's all sorts of excited!
1- He is finally here and part of our family! We love him!

BUSY!!!!
Ok, so I'm already behind and I've only been a blogger for a little over a month! This post isn't even going to catch me up either but a little at a time and I'll get there! I have pics of Cade's first 4th of July but they might make it on the next post. I've been running a lot lately and been really liking it! A couple of the girls at work and I were talking about running the Bone and Back relay race and decided to put together a team and do it! I started training because 5 miles for me is a lot! It felt good to be running for a reason though, I loved having something to work towards. Our team was Team Carlisle: Beauty is our Specialty...not running! We made pink T-shirts for all the girls that had that printed on them. The girls were: Me, Emily Sargent (my sis-in-law), Melanie Furniss, Katelyn Messick, Lindsay Nulph, Annie Cooper and substituting for us at the last minute...seriously two days before, Kim Ence. It was sooooooooooooo much fun! I can't even write in words how much fun we all had! Bruce and Sherry Carlisle (and Carly) were our drivers, cheerleaders, waterers....what else? They were so awesome! Thanks guys! For those who may not know how the race works I'll try to sum it up. It's a 40 mile relay to Bone and Back (started at Mountain View Hospital) and each person runs 5 miles. Each team can have a team car that follows their runners and that's where the Carlisles came in. We all sat in the back of the truck and cheered our runners on til it was time to get the next girl ready. I know I'm going to leave something out I just don't want this to be too long. It was so much fun I will definetly do it again! I was having so much fun cheering everyone else on I only had a few minutes to get nervous and then I was off! I felt really good for the first 3.5 miles and then....the Hill!!! It was a beast! Really, I'm not just making it up, but I conquered it. It was cool because my brother Justin was running on another team and he ran leg 5 just opposite of mine so we passed each other and he gave me some encouragement (which almost made me emotional) but I pulled myself together and finished! I even met my goal of 60 minutes or less, right on the nose at 60 minutes! It was the best feeling to have accomplished something like that! Another thing that got me a little choked up is my little sister Jen came and rode in the back of the truck the whole day with us. That meant a lot to me because she's been so supportive of everything I do and she's my best friend and to have her there was awesome! And to top it off the Carlisle Beauties took...3rd place! (out of 13 women's teams) we were so proud of ourselves because to be honest we didn't even think we would come close to placing! It was a fun day. I also ran the Scenic River Classic 5K and will include some pictures from that too. It's been a fun summer of running and Cade has helped me train! He's a trooper and does so great in our running stroller. An update of the little man is coming soon too...we got his 9 month pictures back! Prepare yourself for some cute baby pics! p.s still a new blogger...thus the pics are in reverse order!
