JACE!

Now that Jace is almost 5 months old I decided it would be nice to get his 3 month old pictures up! My sis Jen did them for me and Jace was a stinker! I know I probably sound like every mom out there but I have witnesses to back me up....Jace is usually a big time smiler! And when we pulled the camera out....no smiles!! But I think he still is pretty darn cute!

 JACE 3 MONTHS:
*STATS: 14lbs. 14oz.  24"
*Jabber mouth! He has found his little voice and he wants all to hear!
*Very mellow baby....but will let you know when he is MAD!
*Has the saddest sad cry ever! And the sad bottom lip comes along too!
*Smiles and giggles ALL the time!
*LOVES to watch Cade and will laugh at him and just squirms the whole time! He just wants to get up and play too!
*Fist and Fingers are almost always in his mouth! Thought he was teething at 3 months! Still no teeth!
*Wants to be sitting up ALL the time!
*Found his tongue
*Grabs/swats at toys and objects
*LOVES attention...of course, but he will flirt and talk back
*Follows your voice and sounds very well and now will respond to his name (4 1/2 months)
*He does this leg kick thing and just with his right leg....it's so dang cute and hilarious
*Sucks on his bottom lip, makes him look like an old grandpa
*Blows bubbles
*He's a chubby chubby baby!

Been a little crazy around here, but here's a little of what we've been up to.  Jace is getting so big, he's 11 weeks and is so much fun! He is such a smiley baby and just coo's and talks to you....it's SO cute!  He's trying to sit up so I got the Bumbo out (I know they got recalled, and I know he's on the counter....I was right there :) ) He's so chubby and cute I love it!

Yep! That's a bright green, full length cast on Cade's leg! He fractured his tibia right below the knee.  He had a splint on for 4 days and the cast was on for 3 weeks.  It was CRAZY to say the least! He did really good with it though...he called it his big green band-aid. We thought it might slow him down a bit, we were wrong! He walked, ran and jumped on it just like normal! In fact he wore the bottom of it off so we ended up having to go in and get a new one.

We hit the fair of course! I kept telling Cade we were going to the fair when Dad got home from work and he said he didn't want to so I pulled up the website and was showing him pictures of it and up pops a picture of "corn cogs".  He's been on a corn dog kick lately so as soon as he saw that he kept asking if dad was home yet! Now when he sees this picture he says "dere's me at the fair and my corn cog". He loved the animals of course and......

a little bit of Rocky Road Ice Cream!! YUM!
Jace was a trooper in my little carrier thing and slept the whole time!

This is at the Dr. office before we switched from bright green to bright hunter orange.  The doctor was so awesome and nice! Cade brought animals with him everytime and one time he had his Madagascar animals (Marty, Melman and Alex) and the Dr. came in and said, "hey is that Marty?"....lets just say Cade did so good every time we had to go in!!
Ok, so this is a cool story....so I'm in the hospital after having Jace and I get a text from our cousin Kassie and it's a picture of Aunt Kay sitting on our retaining wall flower beds that Bry built in front of our house and it's planted full of flowers!! She says they (her, mindy and kay) were going to bring us flowers but they decided to plant them instead!! I totally got choked up and am so thankful for them! That was just about the nicest thing and it's been lovely to look at them everyday! They are beautiful, just like the gals that planted them!

Cade LOVES his dad! He likes to wrestle with him whether dad wants to or not....in this particular case I don't think Bry was getting too into it!

I seriously can't believe how big he is getting! He's been a lot of fun this summer too and he LOVES his baby brother...."baby jace" He always wants to give him kisses and hugs and we usually end up having to pull him away because he just smothers Jace. I'm so glad he likes him though! He's a big helper and full of WAY too much energy!
I took this picture from the house...it made me a little nervous, but it was a perfect example of how we couldn't slow him down! He still wanted to help dad with the chores!
HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY CADE!! Cade is such a fun, caring, helpful, smart, creative, GOOD boy! I know I'm not going to remember all the things I want to write about him but here are some things about Cade right now:
STATS: 34 lbs. (with the cast) :) 36 inches tall
Still eats great...will try MOST things with a little coaxing. Sleeps awesome too...10-12 hours every night depending on if he takes a nap...kind of fading out of those :( and if he has nightmares....poor fella! He calls his stuffed animals and toys his friends and will play with them and entertain himself really well! He's in a pajama loving phase...if it's a stay at home day he will either want to stay in his jammies...or if I put clothes on him he ends up changing into jammies without me knowing! He's an independent little tyke! (Hmmmm....don't know where he got that) MOST things he needs to do by himself, and even potty lately has been "potty mom...I do myself".
I love his imagination! He's got to have more than a few imaginary friends because he's always talking and playing with "his guys" is what he calls it.  Or he will pretend that Marty or Melman is at our house and they go to time out and eat lunch just like him! It's funny! He LOVES to play with his cousins and LOVES to go to Grandparents houses.  I've started showing him some things on the piano and he loves it! My mom lent me some books so I can actually teach him something instead of just making stuff up! :) Lately he's been saying things like "what's up" "how u been" "u ok mom" "mom, how u think Hayden's been". And he's really getting good with his manners...please, thanks, your welcome, excuse me! Every time he uses his manners it makes me smile!
For Cade's birthday he asked for....a birthday cake, a party hat on his head, a castle and some trains! We just had Grandma's and Grandpa's over for cake and ice cream this year and he got everything he asked for and I think he loved it! He would keep asking "is today my birthday....is everybody coming to our house...is everybody going to sing happy birthday to me..." He was so excited when I finally told him it was his birthday!!

 Everyone wore party hats.....including Jace!

 Grandma Jeans and Grandpa Scott
 Grandma and Grandpa T

Cade had a wonderful birthday and still talks about it! Thanks to Grandma's and Grandpa's for making it special and memorable!

SPUD DAY, SHELLEY IDAHO! Thanks to Grandpa Scott for coming! I can always count on him to help with the babe.....he's known as "baby hog" in the family :)
Thanks to Grandma Jeans for helping with Cade! He didn't know what to expect, being our first parade and all, but once it got going and Grandma helped collect the candy, he loved it! I told him to wave and yell "over here" and he did just that! I also think having the cast helped our odds as far as the candy went....we heard a few people say "give the kid with the cast some candy"! It was funny!

He watches Little Einsteins and really likes music and musical instruments so when the band came by he was just quiet.  He said "yook at all those musical instruments"!

Jace with cousin Payson and Uncle Andrew....and Gpa of course

This was funny....Cade is not a huge fan of "mascots" I guess you could call them...The SPUD came over to give him a high five and Cade FREAKED! Almost knocked Hayden and Gma down just trying to get out of the way! Besides the spud incident he really liked the parade!
