Announcing....

We finally got a new computer! I'm excited to be up and running again, but at the same time know how much catching up I have to do and am a litte overwhelmed! Oh well, just glad to be back in the technology loop.
Also.....we are expecting #2!! I am 20 weeks now and we just found out it's another BOY! I think it'll be so fun having two boys back to back. They will always have a buddy to play with and to beat up! Cade is excited to have a little brother, that's what he'd always say when we would ask what is mommy having, a little brother or a little sister. Little brother it was and is! We are so excited and can't wait for July!
I had to include at least one picture! This is in January, no snow and yes we played outside for a good part of the day. Cade even rode his pony, OREO. He loves her and has to check on her most days. He loves his little Carhart coat and walks around with his hands in his pockets and his hood on. He doesn't love to be cold and will say "I'm breezing" or "It's toe told!" and "I dotta doe intide, ine told". He does however, love to put his boots on and help dad....for a bit....til he's distracted with sticks, rocks, and puddles! ALL BOY! He is 2 1/2 right now and SOOOO much fun! I can't wait to catch up and share some good stories!

P.S. taking any boy name ideas.....we had girl names picked out! :)

Happy Holidays!

It's that time of year and crazy as ever! I'm so far behind on my blog its ridiculous, but I do have a valid excuse...still no computer! I'm at my mom's right now making our Christmas cards and thought I could update my blog while I'm at it! Things are SO great and Cade is just SO dang cute! He's doing and saying some pretty funny things that I will have to remember and blog at a later time! These are our family pictures and Cade's 2 year old pictures that my little sister Jen took for us! I thought they turned out great! Hope all is well for everyone and you have a wonderful holiday season!!

Funny Prayer

Still working out the whole computer thing so no pictures for now, but a funny story will do!
To preface the story, Cade is a little bit obsessed with the movie Tarzan! If we are in the truck he will say "no birit (Spirit) mite now, dust tarzan....... no herteese (Hercules) mite now, dust tarzan......no piddy show (Charolettes Web) mite now, dust tarzan". You get the idea. Anyhow he is a little scared of the big gorilla Kerchek, but likes him at the same time.
We were at Bryan's parents house for dinner one night and Cade wanted to say the prayer....so I'm helping him: Heavenly Father "hembee bader" thank you for this day "mm day" thank you for our blessings "mm bessings" thank you for our family "aw bamly" please bless the food "bess bood" help us have a good day "hab dood day brum tercheck".............Yep! Cade wants everyone to have a good day and be safe from Kerchek! I had to end the prayer there because I was trying so hard not to laugh. It's so funny what goes on inside their little heads.
He turned 2 on September 11th! His stats are 27lbs 15 oz. and 34 inches tall. We got him a pony, yes a real live pony! Her name is oreo and Cade loves her so much and loves to ride her. A few things about Cade at age 2:
*He is very independent (good and bad)
*He's getting good at doing chores: making his bed, cleaning up his room (clothes, toys), brushing his teeth, PRACTICING on the toilet (that's a touchy subject!), putting his dishes in the sink, putting on his own clothes and shoes, feeding Oreo and Jack.....
*He uses his manners MOST the time and sometimes I don't have to cue him! It's so rewarding when he says please and thank you on his own!
*Sleeps and for the most part STAYS in his "big boy bed"
*Loves to read books, do puzzles, color, figure things out and just play!
*Gives a good double thumbs up!
*Usually can tell you right from left
*Knows ABC's, Colors and Numbers and most Shapes
*LOVES to help dad with whatever he is doing! He thinks daddy is pretty darn cool! Bry was working on the chicken coop and had his drill and hammer, well Cade had to have his too and followed Bry around just copying him. It was so cute!
*Is pretty good and sharing and playing with other kids.
*He's always thinking of something and already tries to do things behind our backs (especially find the candy and eat it before we find him)

Ok so I'm a proud mom and this list could go on for a while, but I do like to jot these types of things down so I can remember and it'll be fun to show Cade one day! We love Cade so much! It seems like everyday we say how cute he is and how much we love him to each other. He has been such a blessing and so much fun in our family. He has taught us many things as well and we are so thankful that we could be his parents! WE love YOU Caders!

Back to feeling Naked!

Word of advice to those out there.........back up your computers! However you can, do it! We didn't and our computer crashed and we almost lost everything. This is why I have been missing for a while, I haven't had a computer! So, we got a bug, it was sending out nasty emails to everyone and then it CRASHED! I took it in to SCION COMPUTERS in Idaho Falls (shout out!) and my brother said if this guy (Benjamin) can't fix it then no one can! A few days go by, still no word on the computer and then he calls. He says he is so disappointed but he can't even get it running basically. WHAT!? All those pictures if my little man....GONE! NOOOOOOOOOOO! So he tells me we can send it to a Clean Facility in Boise where they take it apart piece by piece "clean" it and put it back together, recover your data and call it good. Oh, here's the best part, the cheapest they've done it for is $850! Nope that's NOT a joke, and it's NOT for a new computer, it's just to retrieve all our data! Gasp, eyes wide, jaw to floor, feeling light-headed and then I fall. But we HAD to! We have to have those pictures! I can't tell Cade, "we don't have any pictures of your first 2 years of life because we were too cheap to fix our computer at the time". So we get it ready to send to Boise and Benjamin calls me up and says since you're sending it to Boise there is one RISKY thing I could try. Yep, go for it! we are screwed anyway! So, he tries it, and he recovers MOST our data!!! And for only $250! Thank You Benjamin! For now, we have set up our OLD laptop and it's getting the job done, SLOWLY, but surely. I installed the printer the other day and it took 3 hours! LOL! I need to be thankful I have a slow laptop and my pictures and data recovered. I shall catch up on this D#*@ blog one of these days!

I'm Back...........

...........and don't feel naked anymore! I got my camera back and I'm back in action but had to laugh at myself because after I downloaded some new pictures, I realized I still had some I need to catch up on! Oh well! This summer has been fun and busy! I tried my best to be active and get Cade involved in as many "activities" as I could, and we still have some to go! Caders LOVES to be outside! As long as theres horses, Jack, Puddy, dirt, WATER, rocks, climbing, grass, did I say horses?, Zoom Zoom, and any other typical boy-thing count Cade IN! Cade is almost 2 (in september) and I can honestly say I've loved every moment! Sure there are hard times but the good definetly outshine them! This little man makes us laugh and we love him SO much! He is such a special blessing in our lives and I feel lucky to be his MOM!

P.S. These pictures were taken in May and YES Cade has a beenie hat on and a nice warm jacket because it was still COLD!!!

This little man loves anything to do with horses!

This is one of my favorite things that Cade does! He loves his books! Now what he will do is read the book out loud and imitate how I read it to him. It's sooooooooooo cute and makes me feel like a good mommy!

NAKED

Lately I have felt so naked because my camera BROKE! Yep, my nice Cannon Rebel XT camera! I had to send it to Boise to get it fixed and a cool $200 later I will be getting my camera hopefully by the end of this week! It broke in the middle of June and of course we have had swimming lessons, Ross Park, Family Reunions, and much more! Cade has been doing so many cute things and my garden looks great and I haven't had my camera to document any of it! I thought I was almost caught up with my blog, ha ya right! Oh well, can't wait to get it back!

Life Lesson

Any time you talk to your Grandparents you can probably learn a thing or two! Well, my sister told me this story that my Grandma and Grandpa Thompson shared with her.

I guess that my Grandparents had gotten in to a pretty good fight and my Grandma had just had it! So she says to my Grandpa, "let's write 5 things we hate about each other on a piece of paper and just get this over with". As my Grandpa is telling the story he jokes and says "I thought she said 5 PAGES......hahaha". Off they go in to their seperate rooms to work on their lists. After a certain amount of time they come back together to share their "hate" lists. My Grandma puts her paper down on the table and sure enough there are 5 things written down that she hates about my Grandpa. Now she wants to see my Grandpa's list so he sets it down and there are 100 things written down that he LOVES about her!

I love this story. It speaks volumes about finding the good in a bad situation and my Grandpa Thompson is truly the best at that! He is such a great example of thinking positive and "life is what you make it"! My Grandma is a neat lady too and she cracks me up! I think she is too hard on herself and doesn't give herself enough credit! I love my Grandparents!
