I go back to December.....

It's only a month late, but here's our Christmas! Our festivities begin on Christmas Eve, my family always has a party at my moms. It's been a tradition ever since I can remember. We woke up and decided we wanted to start a tradition of our own, so we went to MICKS for breakfast. I guess I should mention we were hungry and didn't want to cook! :) It was great and I'm thinking it's going to be an easy tradition to keep up on!
If something ever happened to Micks, it would be a sad day at the Sargent house! We visit Micks at LEAST once a week. It's one of those old town hole in the wall places that is OH SO GOOD! If you haven't been, we recommend it.
Breakfast was just too good! Put them both down!
I just put up a few decorations this year knowing that we were going to be at our parents houses for all the festivities and we were going to start demolition on our kitchen. So here is my attempt to bring Christmas into our house!

Mrs. Claus in baby LaJae disguise!
Cade loves all of his cousins. Hannah is a great babysitter and Cade loves her so much.
My dad ready the Christmas story.
Ok, so if you know Abbey, my darling and hilarious niece, you'll will appreciate the humor of this picture. My other niece Brianna was suppose to be Mary, but she wasn't liking that idea (mind you this whole time my dad is reading the Christmas story from the Bible) so Abbey decided to fill in and she did NOT take her eyes off the camera. I have about 5 pictures of the Nativity and Abbey is the same in all of them! She's very photogenic!
I love Cade's PJ's and LaJaes Mrs. Claus dress, this was the best picture I got because Cade wouldn't hold still for very long!
Baby LaJae! I still can't get over her eyes! They are blue and SO beautiful!
My parents gave Cade his first pair of snow boots, and let me tell you....he LOVES his boots! He wants to wear them all the time!
All tuckered out from all the excitement.
We headed to the Sargents because we were going to be there in the morning anyway so we just spent the night and when we arrived we found them playing this interesting game. You make a tower of flour and place a coin on the top. Grab yourself a knife and start shaving. The person who knocks over the tower has to sift through the flour with their NOSE and find the coin! One thing I love about the Sargents, you will always have something to do at their house! If we aren't playing a "real" boardgame (or game) we usually end up making one up!
Bryan was hilarious playing this game because he thought he had the best strategy and everytime someone would only take a little chunk he'd get so mad and tell us "the game is going to last forever" "who takes little chunks" "cmon guys" I'm sure there were more because he was seriously on a roll that night. Stephs just making sure he's abiding by the rules here.
Em was a good sport, you see she's not much for games but she joined in and well, she lost so she had to find the dime in the flour with her nose! Rules are rules....and sometimes we make them up as we go, but still!
When we woke up we decided to go get cousin Hayden before we went out to see all the presents. So we went down the hallway and knocked on his door (knowing he'd be awake because these two decided in heaven that they'd be on the exact same sleeping schedule!) and it was SO cute, the door cracked and Haydens little head peeked around the corner!
At first Cade wasn't too sure what to think, but it didn't take him long to warm up.
Bry ended up being the present-hander-outer (I'm pretty sure that's just not a word) and he borrowed my WAY CUTE hat that my sis-in-law Em made for me.
I'm sad this picture is so dark, but you can see how into opening presents Cade got. He really liked it at first, but after a few he just wanted to play with what he got. Cade did end up with a pretty good stash! Thanks to Grandmas, Grandpas, Cousins, and pretty cool parents! :)
Oh my heavens....his face is just priceless! I mean of course it's tractors...who wouldn't react like this?
Cade had Haydens name for Christmas and I think Hayden is excited about getting a present! I think it's fun to draw names, especially for the little ones because it teaches them to give....tis the season...right?!
Oh yes! This outfit is a beauty! Last year Steph, Andrew, Trent and Em decided to pull a gag gift on Cade and gave him this outfit. It was hilarious and now a tradition! It will get passed down for generations...and I sound like a grandma....but I must say Hayden looks pretty cute in it!
A couple days after Christmas Bryans family (his moms side) rents a huge cabin up in Island Park and we usually go up for a few days. It was tricky because Cade isn't really use to sleeping in different places so the first night was just dandy trying to get him to sleep. He really enjoyed having so much attention and other little kids to play with. This is him in the truck on the way, he's watching Spirit (its a horse movie for those who don't know) and this was his face pretty much the whole time! It was hilarious!
This is the day after Christmas, we just chilled at the Sargents most the day. That's one favorite thing about the holidays, just taking it easy and being with family!

I didn't get any pictures of our Annual New Year's Party at Grandma Sargents but, as usual, it was a good time had by all. In a nutshell, we have an all-nighter with Bryan's dad's side and it's SO much fun. Every year there's a contest to see who can stay up the longest. I've made it to 5:00 (AM) one year, Grandma is almost always in the runnings, but usually the younger kids are the night owls!

All in all it was a great Holiday Season and we have so much to be thankful for!

Kind of in a RUTT.....

Lately (the last few months) I just can't seem to get myself going...and it's driving me CRAZY! I know I can do SO much more in the day and my attitude has just been AWFUL (you can ask Bry). And then I get even more mad at myself because I'm usually not that kind of person! UGH! ENTER Christmas present from one of my clients. Lori gave me this quote from President Hinckley and it's all printed out and framed just beautifully, and the quote is just AWESOME! Hope it helps anyone else who has the same problem I'm currently working on :)

"Anyone who imagines that bliss is normal is going to waste a lot of time running around shouting that he's been robbed. The fact is that most putts don't drop, most beef is tough, most children grow up to be just people, most successful marriages require a high degree of mutual toleration, most jobs are more often dull than otherwise. Life is like an old time rail journey...delays, sidetracks, smoke, dust, cinders, and jolts, interspersed only occasionally by beautiful vistas, and thrilling bursts of speed. The trick is to thank the Lord for letting you have a ride."

More Cade Part Two!

This might be the last batch of ALL Cade pictures! A miracle I know! And we've made it out of summer pictures and right into Fall (my favorite time of the year!) Cade loves to be outside and is ALL boy because he has to be in the dirt and exploring everything and everywhere! He does NOT care if he gets dirty, in fact the dirtier the better! At first I was paranoid and tried to keep him somewhat clean and tried to catch everything he put in his mouth, and then that wore off! I know people say by your last child you mello out, Cade is helping me already! It was a BEAUTIFUL Fall and we tried to soak it all in before the winter set in....

Cade holding Jacks really clean ball (as you can plainly see!) Yep, that's it...the round thing that blends into to Cades camoflauge jacket!

Cade does NOT have a good poker face! You can always tell when he's doing something he probably shouldn't..."maybe since moms taking pictures she won't notice me slip these leaves into my mouth"

Sorry, but this one is just way too cute! I can't stand it!

I love to take "different" pictures instead of your normal straight-on smiling ones. Sometimes they turn out and sometimes they don't but it's sure fun to practice. I hope Cade doesn't get sick of being my model, because he's pretty easy to take pictures of!

Here's one of Cades favorite spots...on the ZOOM ZOOM. Cade LOVES to go for rides and he doesn't even care where we are going, as long as we are going somewhere. Sometimes he sings while we are driving and if you can imagine he's got to sing pretty loud to hear himself over the zoom zoom. Our neighbors told us once they had to stop and listen because at first they thought he was crying, nope just having a good time!

Jack! We've had Jack since he was 7 weeks old! He is now 2 1/2 years old and still A.D.D as ever! Seriously, Jack does some of the weirdest things...Bry and I just have to laugh. Jack is such a GREAT dog, and best of all he tolerates Cade. We didn't really plan it out this way, but next summer will be so much fun because Cade will be big enough to run around with Jack and HOPEFULLY Jack will settle down a bit! We love him and are glad he's in our family.

These last two pictures didn't turn out very good and I was so mad because you can't see the saddle. Bryan bought Cade a little kids saddle and it looked so little and cute on the big horse. And even cuter when Cade got on! Oh well, you get the idea and well, he's still SO cute!

More CADE!

Here's another batch of Cade pictures, as I was posting them it brought a smile to my face because I love all the quirky things Cade does and these just reminded me of a few!

Cade loves to put things "away" or "back" it what he calls it, but what he's really doing is hiding things. We have found many toys, utensils, remote controls, all sorts of odds and ends in the funniest places. A favorite hiding place is the toaster. He puts many things next to the toaster, and also in the toaster. In fact the other day I went to make toast and I USUALLY check the toaster to make sure nothing is in there, but I didn't this day and all the sudden I could smell something burning...yep sure enough! I had given Cade some Laffy Taffy's and we were naming the colors and then I just let him play with them, well now one of them is melted to the inside of my toaster! I had to laugh!
Yep, those are tampons. He's not only figured out where they are, but how to get the wrappers off. His next favorite thing to play with in the bathroom is condoms...then toilet water. We aren't bad parents I promise! The doors to ALL bathrooms in our house stayed closed now.

Cade loves to play with my IPOD for a few reasons:

-because it's kind of a no-no and he feels like a rebel when he gets to
-he likes to pretend to play games
-he can see his reflection on the back of it and well, he likes himself
-he loves to listen to music, plus it's a good way to find where he is...just follow the music!
One day I caught him "hiding" in his closet with my IPOD, it was so funny. Anytime Cade thinks he's in trouble or he knows he's doing something wrong, he will look up at you with the cutest face and in a higher pitched voice say: "HI". That's what he did when I found him...it was cute!
Bryan bought this GIJOE tent and sleeping bag even before I was pregnant with Cade. It was on sale at Cabelas and he couldn't resist! It is pretty dang cute though- the tent and the fact that Bry wanted to get it. We decided to set it up and Cade LOVES it. Its been up in our dining room for about 3 months and I don't see it coming down anytime soon. But that's ok because it gives him something to do and sometimes when it gets "too quiet" I will check the tent and he will be in there with a book, or his animals, or one time he put all the pillows off our couch in there and had a blanket and was going "nigh nigh". It's a fun little play "house".

Cade started talking pretty young and is really good at putting words together already. He's always been really good at saying "Pease" (Please) and knows when to use it. Bryan is so proud because he taught Cade how to say it. He will say stuff like "pease more" "more pease nana" (banana or whatever he is eating at the moment) and "pease help u" (asking for help). This is him saying " pease"

What a cheeseball! (but I love it)
Bryan was hiding behind me and then "getting" him and this particular day Cade thought it was the funniest thing ever. So then Bryan started getting creative and making different sounds and faces and Cade was loving it. He loves his dad so much. I love watching Bryan with him, the other day I was working and Bryan took Cade to Micks (a yummy OLD hamburger joint out here in Shelley), then they came home and did the chores and horse stuff and then I'm guessing played inside for a bit and then Bry put him to bed. I got home and asked how everything went and Bryan said "Cade was so cute today, he was the little buddy every dad wishes for" It was SO cute and I'm not going to lie, I teared up! I love my boys!

waitin' for daddy.....
Whenever Cade is in his high chair he always crosses his feet. He's done it FOREVER, really, I don't even remember how little he was when he started doing it. It's one of my favorite things that he does.

That is just too CUTE!
I got Cade these Camo slippers online and LOVE them so much and Cade will actually leave them on! The only downfall is they are really slippery (no pun intended) and we have wood floors and this really pretty blue laminent flooring so not slipper friendly! But they are cute wouldn't ya say?
It looks like Cade already knows how to text! I'm in trouble...actually whenever he gets a hold of my phone or grandma's, we all have some extra charges on our bills from Cade connecting to the internet and chatting with babes!

Alrighty, one more down, and a few more to go! I'm almost caught up with my pictures! Hooray! Hope everyone is having a FUN and SAFE holiday season so far!

CATCH UP!

Ok, this is classic Tiffany...always a little late! I hate to admit it because I'm not late ALL the time, but I do tend to run a little behind schedule. Classic example: my blog! Haha! Oh well, sometimes things are better late than never...right? or maybe I'm just trying to make myself feel better! Regardless, here are Cades 1 year old pics that my sister Jen took. She did such an awesome job and I LOVE how all the pics turned out! Thanks sis! My next few blogs are going to be a ton of pictures of Cade that I took during the summer, I really want to catch up so when Christmas comes I can be fairly on schedule. So, without further ado you can see how obsessed I am with my child!

I love my little family! Bryan and I were talking about how many kids we want and he was teasing me that I wouldn't stop until I got a girl, and I think I surprised him when I told him I could have all boys. I really could! I LOVE being with just Cade and Bryan and although I know its fun dolling up the girls and all that, I think I could do without! Now don't get me wrong, if I had a girl it would be AWESOME and I would love her so much, just saying I'm not going to join the Duggars and have 20 kids, just to get a girl! P.S. this little tidbit does NOT mean I'm pregnant either! Alright, I think I've said enough.....
