The Many Faces of Cade.....

I'm going to be playing catch up here with the next few posts because I have a bunch of pictures from summer I still want to blog about. One of these days I will catch up and actually be current, until then....:)
This is a daily occurance at our house. Cade LOVES Jack and Jack is so patient with Cade, they are cute little buddies already. I wanted to list some things about Cade that he does right now that I don't want to forget, and I'm sure I'm going to leave some out so I will post them when I remember them. And of course I had to put pictures of the cute fella with the list, it's just funner that way.

*Every morning when I am fixing his breakfast he waits so patiently in his high chair and is either holding his hands together or has them perfectly placed over the edge of the tray.

*He is a loving baby. Not only does he love receiving loves, he loves to give them away. Watch out though because his kisses are wide open mouthed so slobbers might be attached!

*He is quite the talker, always has been. He will repeat almost everything we say. He is the cutest
little begger, literally, the way he says
please just melts your heart.
I'm pretty sure he knows it too
because the more desperate he is
the higher his pitch gets. "PEASE"

*He is a curious little fella. He
wants to, and will figure just
about everything out. Some
times he gets frustrated, but
usually he doesn't give up until
he's figured it out.

*When it gets "too quiet" I worry
sometimes, but probably 7/10 times he is entertaining himself, and usually with a book. It's so cute he will be sitting with his legs crossed, the book in his lap and just turning the pages.

*When he's content, tired or just happy he crosses his feet. It's adorable and lets me know that he's doing just fine :)!

*When he's really tired and almost asleep he will put his hand on top of his head and just with his pointer finger he plays with his hair.

*He LOVES family. Whenever he sees a picture or the actual person he gets so excited and says their name. "Papa" "Mama" "NeeNee (kinzie)" "Hannah" "Haynen (Hayden)" "Nanner (Tanner)" and many more. I made a little quiet book for church with pictures of everyone in our families and I think that's helped him recognize everyone.

*He is the BEST! People stop me in stores and tell me how cute he is so I know I'm not just prejudice! He makes us smile and laugh everyday and it's been a FUN year, I can't wait for this next one!

Happy 1st Birthday CADE!!

I'm going to be honest from the start, I got a little carried away downloading pictures so this is an extremely long post! Cade turned one on September 11th. It's one of those moments when you have to step back and realize what's really happening! It wasn't sad that he was turning one, it was just amazing that the time had gone by so fast! I have loved every little phase that Cade has gone through and I'm so blessed and grateful that I have been with him through it all! He has been the light of our lives seriously! We often wonder what we did without him because he is so entertaining and fun we must have been boring! We waited a long time for Cade to come and we both agree he was WELL worth the wait! He is such a blessing in our lives and we love him MORE than he will know!
This is the day before his birthday we were going to the Doctor! The appointment ended up getting cancelled but I still had to take a picture because he looked so handsome! He wouldn't hold still for me (imagine that) so this was the best picture I could get! Isn't he a cutie!?

Cade didn't quite know what was happening but I can tell you he liked the looks of things!

It was very cute watching Dad help Cade open his presents and after Cade warmed up, he liked what was happening!
His face was too precious in this picture, I HAD to post it!

Cade is known for pulling some pretty good faces. This one is a classic and the other two are just him being cheesy! He's pretty good at it! I still can't believe he's one, but it's so much fun! He's the best!

I was very ambitous and decided to make Cades birthday cake. He loves horses, and so being the fun and creative mom that I am (hahaha) I googled how to make a horse cake and my good friend Betty Crocker was there for me. There was a demonstration video to watch and you can even print out the template to use. I can't take full credit, Bryan did help me, but didn't we do a good job for our very first birthday cake? Watch out Cake Boss and Ace of Cakes!

Baby Cousin LaJae is just 4 weeks! She's not afraid to rock a birthday hat!
Baby Cousin Hayden 3months old. He was born 9 months to the day after Cade. They are going to be best buddies, and trouble makers....can't wait!
Uncle Trent, funny story: we call Trent "Joto", who am I kidding we call just about anyone "Joto" (reason why is another long story) anyway, one day while Kinzie was babysitting Cade she taught Cade how to say it. So if you ask him to say, "Trent is a joto" Cade says "Nent...toto" its hilariously cute!
Our cute little family

Cade was more interested in the rocks than the football, but we still got some good pictures! I'm glad he left his birthday hat on!
I know I'm prejudice, but come on! Look at him! He's SO cute!

This was really cute, the older cousins were playing football and they let Cade play with the ball for a little bit and Cade fell over so Spencer and Tyler came over to console him and give him some encouragement. It was cute of them and Cade loved the attention.
Puddy, the goat, was a great sport when it came to wearing the birthday hat! He's part of the family too so we couldn't leave him out. You will see Jack later, and Buckles wanted nothing to do with the hat, probably not to hurt his STUD ego he's got going!
Some of the gang
Grandma and Grandpa Sargent
The rest of the gang

Dad, the grill master, was being difficult and would not look at the camera. OH well, he looks HOT from the side too!
Cousin Spencer, aka Best Buddy and Pal (that's what Spence calls Cade, it's so cute)

Cousins Natalie and Nathan
Grandma and Grandpa Thompson (holding baby LaJae)
Cousins Hannah and Jessica (two peas in a pod!)
Ok so I wasn't going to let Cade feed his face with Cade because "everyone does it", well I gave in and I'm glad I did because Cade loved it and we got some cute pictures! He ate the baby horse cake that I made and the icing for the hooves was black and that's the part Cade went for first! It was cute because at first he wasn't sure if he was allowed to dig in, but once he did and didn't get in trouble he loved it.

Cousin Brianna and Aunt Ranay
Jack is so emabarrassed he won't even look at us! What a good sport!
Cousins Abbey and Tanner, he's a little upset because Abbey wasn't sharing!
Bry helped get the house presentable before everyone came, and he managed to fit in time to make these sweet log benches for the campfire! They were perfect! Bry, you're amazing, but you already knew that! love ya

Here's the gang around the campfire! The smores were so yummy! Emmie brought those BIG marshmallows made especially for smores, they were great! THanks Em!
This picture happened accidently but turned out to be a cool picture! Thanks everyone for such a fun first birthday and for all your love and support! We love you!
I wanted to list 12 things we love about Cade but I know this post is probably the longest in Blogging history so I will save it for the next post and save whoever is reading this a few more minutes!
